Bryan Shaner is an American businessman, investor, and inventor who co-founded ProMotion Arts with Steven Crandall. Today, the company is known as ProMotion Holdings, which was launched in 2005 in Steven’s basement. ProMotion Arts revolutionized the way digital media was produced, growing from a small basement operation to managing an office building in downtown Seattle.

The company’s focus was on redefining the media industry—pioneering innovative approaches to live media production and transforming the post-production process. ProMotion Arts developed strategic solutions never seen before, such as custom media compressions for clients. Notably, they enabled Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz to deliver full-resolution media over dial-up and DSL internet connections to worldwide store locations—all without disrupting local store transactions.

Throughout his career, Bryan Shaner has collaborated with major brands and organizations, including Kellogg’s Inc., Microsoft Inc., Pixar Studios, the Gates Foundation, the Seattle Seahawks, National Geographic, ABC, FOX, and PBS.

ProMotion Arts later expanded into legal media, developing groundbreaking methods to synchronize video content with stenographer transcripts—allowing for real-time closed captioning that could be searched and referenced during trials.

With over 20 years of experience creating custom digital solutions, Bryan remains passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation, helping clients reach new levels of success.
